Managed connectivity

One managed link per site. Three ways to carry it.

Starlink LEO, private Ku-band VSAT and LTE/5G, engineered per site, delivered as one monthly service with 24×7 monitoring, private addressing and a single invoice. We choose the carrier for the site. You get a link that stays up.

Transports

Pick by physics, not by habit.

Every transport has a place. The wrong one is chosen when the decision is made by whoever installed the last site. We size each site against latency, throughput, power budget, sky view and what the SCADA host actually tolerates.

Service

What the monthly fee actually covers.

Managed connectivity is not a data plan with a markup. It is the carrier service, the edge hardware, the monitoring, the failover design and the people who fix it when it breaks.

Network architecture

From the wellhead to your data center, on our network the whole way.

Every remote terminal, whatever it rides on, terminates in the NexxtGen Cloud Hub, an SD-WAN virtual network concentrator with your private addressing. From there a single hand-off reaches your data center and your DR site. The map shows the oil and gas basins and pipeline corridors we cover today.

1 · REMOTE TERMINALbonded SD-WAN edge at every site

Starlink, LTE/5G and Ku-band VSAT behind one router. Private addressing, closed ports, failover in seconds.

2 · SKYEDGE II-C HUBSTwo geographically diverse teleports

Gilat SkyEdge II-C hubs with fiber ISP at each site, fully redundant, 99.999% availability.

3 · CLOUD HUBSD-WAN virtual network concentrator

All transports land here. Per-customer VRFs, QoS for SCADA, VoIP over SATCOM, BGP and OSPF peering.

4 · YOUR DATA CENTERIPsec, MPLS or private interconnect

One hand-off to production and one to DR. Your SCADA host never sees a carrier change.

Private VSAT

Our SkyEdge II-C hub, our teleports, your data.

Where a committed information rate is contractual, latency is fine and the site must never touch the public internet, private Ku-band VSAT on our own Gilat SkyEdge II-C network is still the right answer. We own the hubs, so the service is ours to guarantee.

Migration playbook

VSAT to Starlink, one site at a time, none of them dark.

The playbook below moved a 150-terminal generation fleet off legacy GEO VSAT. The order matters and the rollback is real.

01

Fleet audit

Every terminal, address, serial and circuit in one list. Sky-view check from satellite imagery before anyone drives.

02

Waves

Sites grouped by region and outage window. Kits staged and pre-configured per wave, labeled by site.

03

Parallel run

New link installed alongside the old. SCADA host polls both. Nothing is cut until acceptance passes.

04

Cutover

Routing moved inside the window. Failover to LTE tested live. Old link left in place for an agreed overlap period.

05

Decommission

Legacy VSAT removed, returned or scrapped per your asset policy. Circuit cancelled on our paperwork, not yours.

06

Record

Install book delivered. Site live in SkyView with serials, photos, signal readings and the cutover date.

Questions we get

Straight answers.

Is Starlink reliable enough for SCADA?

For polling SCADA at normal intervals, yes, and the latency is a fraction of GEO. Where a contract requires a committed information rate, we keep private VSAT as primary and use Starlink for everything the SCADA link should never have carried: cameras, remote desktop, vendor access.

Can our sites stay on private IP space?

Yes. Sites sit behind a bonded SD-WAN overlay with your addressing, closed ports by default, and no exposure to the public internet regardless of transport. VSAT sites are private end to end on our hubs.

What happens when a terminal fails?

The NOC sees it before you do. If failover exists, traffic moves automatically. A crew is dispatched with a spare from regional stock, usually within 24 hours, and the swap is under the service, not a new purchase order.

Do we have to buy the hardware?

Either model works. Most operators fold terminals and routers into the monthly recurring service so refreshes and swaps are covered. Capital purchase with a separate support agreement is available where your accounting prefers it.

How do you handle data caps and overages?

Usage is tracked per site and per pool every day. Alerts fire before the cycle rolls, and our engineer reviews the fleet quarterly so plans match reality. Overages are caught before they reach an invoice.
